Support Our Troops

The Mission of Glacier Confection is to raise support and funds for our “Fallen Hero’s and their families”.

The Patriot Cup

The Patriot Cup

Over the past three years, Patriot Golf Day has generated more than $5.3 million to provide scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled American heroes. In the past 28 months alone, Folds of Honor Foundation has awarded nearly 1,000 scholarships.

With more than 142,000 dependents who have had a family member killed or disabled while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan – 85% of whom do not receive any federal education assistance – there's still work to be done. In answering the call to ensure that no family is ever left behind on the field of battle, The Patriot Cup will be a special event that will combine golf, music...and plenty of laughter and tears.

The Patriot Cup is a limited field, invitation-only event featuring PGA Tour Professionals and celebrities, along with 50 PGA Professionals and their guests in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Memorial Day Weekend.

Featuring two inspiring days of golf, entertainment, and love of country, The Patriot Cup will embrace the heroes who serve our great nation. On May 30, the PGA Professionals will play with their invited guest and two members of The Patriot Club. On Memorial Day, the format will pair three amateurs; a military aviator or ground soldier; and a PGA Tour Professional, LPGA Professional or Champions Tour Professional.

Folds of Honor

Folds of Honor

Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities. The Patriot

Patriot Golf Club

The Patriot was born from the land. The building process took over two years and presented incredible challenges to the country’s finest golf construction company, Landscapes Unlimited. They traversed through four distinct and often hostile topographies – lowland marsh, heavy woodlands, high prairie, and dramatic limestone canyons. The rock-laden terrain required importing 10-inches of sandy-loam top soil across the entire course. Irrigation was literally carved into the land through limestone.

Eventually eighty acres of sod brought to life the enormous Meyer Zoysia fairways. With no rough, the fairways flow like harbor, providing safe havens from nature’s dramatic fury. The tees and greens were laid gently into the organic contours of the land. Fanatical in our commitment to extraordinary greens, we selected A1-A4 Bent, a sub-terrain moisture control system and turf breeze fans. Brilliant, beach-white sand bunkers sprinkle through The Patriot providing a striking contrast against the lush green zoysia.

Finally a meticulous blend of grasses, soil preparation, and sophisticated drainage insure firm and fast surfaces. The ground game is an integral part of The Patriot, taking the player back to sacred Scottish origins of the game.

Patriot Golf Day

Patriot Golf Day

Patriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides postsecondary educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving our great nation. On Labor Day weekend, golfers across the country are asked to add an extra dollar to their greens fees to fund Folds of Honor scholarships. The Patriot Golf Day campaign is jointly supported by The PGA of America and the United States Golf Association.

The inaugural Patriot Golf Day in 2007 was started by Major Dan Rooney, Founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation, F-16 Pilot, PGA Professional, and USGA member. On Labor Day 2007 Rooney asked golfers to add $1 to their greens fees. His request resulted in donations of more than $1.1 million from more than 3,200 golf facilities. In the last three years, golfers nationwide have been instrumental in raising more than $5.3 million through Patriot Golf Day events.

Patriot Golf Day 2010 will again be held during the Labor Day weekend, September 3-6. If you are interested in joining our mission to empower the lives of deserving military families with educational opportunities, then please become a participating facility in 2010! PGA Professionals who host an event and submit funds to the Folds of Honor Foundation will receive TWO MSR Credits.
